Please find below feedback from students who have enrolled into the Power Generation Skills Development Program:
Mark Parker - PB Power
"The experience gained from the course has helped me to understand the challenges that the power utilities face on a day by day basis as well as for the future. The core courses such as regulation and compliance, asset management, introduction to power plant and project delivery have given me a broader understanding of the power generation business as a whole, while the elective courses have advanced my theoretical knowledge in my specific discipline. I feel that the program has been invaluable for two reasons, firstly developing practical and theoretical skills in power generation and secondly by developing new relationships within the industry and universities. I have been able to apply my new skill set immediately as part of the power generation team for PB Power. I would like to thank the industry partners Tarong, CS Energy and Stanwell and the Universities UQ, CQU and QUT for their collaborative efforts in developing a world class program"
Muddasir Nazir - Flinders Biomedical Engineering
"Right from the beginning I was impressed by the manner in which this program was delivered. The program combines both, class room lectures and practical training to make sure that the students understands what they study in the class room. The program has provided me with a fantastic opportunity to see and feel how a real power plant works. A highly recommendable course for those who want to jump into the power generation industry"
Tomas Hansford - CS Energy
"As a mechanical engineer, I find that the knowledge I have gained from EPG001 often helps me while performing my day to day tasks. The best part about the course is that it is practical enough that you can easily apply the knowledge at the station and it is great that the course is administered by someone with lots of hands on power station experience"
